London, 9th September 2024 — Green Element Group, a certified B Corporation dedicated to helping organisations manage their environmental impact, is pleased to announce the appointment of Nathan Wimble as its new Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Having served as a board advisor for Green Element Group for two years, Wimble will now lead the business and its dedicated team on an ambitious growth strategy.
Founded 20 years ago by sustainability pioneer, Will Richardson, Green Element Group has grown into a multifaceted organisation comprising Green Element, Environmental Management Consultancy, Compare Your Footprint, a Carbon Accounting Software, and the Sustainability Solved Resource Hub and Podcast. Richardson established the business at a time when sustainability was not widely recognised or integrated within the corporate sector, driven by a vision to effect meaningful change in the industry.
Richardson will now transition into the role of Chief Purpose and Innovation Officer, where he will continue to steer the company’s commitment to its core values and mission while helping Green Element Group stay competitive and relevant in an evolving business landscape.
Wimble brings over 20 years of experience in sales, leadership, and growth acceleration, with a strong track record of guiding companies in the sustainability, data, and insights sectors. His expertise lies in scaling innovative businesses that are disrupting and transforming their sector.
Previously, Wimble was Commercial Director at The CarbonNeutral Company (now Climate Impact Partners), where he successfully quadrupled the company’s size, and was Managing Director of EnergyWorks (an early innovator in the lighting as a service sector) leading them through a successful period of growth. More recently, Wimble held key leadership roles at Toluna, a global technology-driven market research firm, including Chief Sales Officer for the UK & Netherlands, leading the company’s largest business unit, and later as Executive Vice President of Go-To-Market globally, overseeing a team of over 200 salespeople.
